I was born in South Bend, IN and graduated from Goshen College in 2002 with a BA in Art Education. In 2008 I completed my MFA in Sculpture from Northern Illinois University. Currently I am an artist, curator, and educator working as an assistant at the Northern Illinois University Art Museum and teaching Computer Arts and Graphics at McHenry County College. The rest of my time is mostly dedicated to making sculpture, fiber works, installations, and collaborative performances. Much of my artwork and writing uses imagery and media associated with “women's work” and domesticity, and is concerned with the “home” as the locale for our first experiences and awareness.
