Below are photographs documenting the first of three installments of Parties of Gothic Funk, masterminded by Connor, supported by The Occlusion Group. The party took place on the north side of Chicago, at the Devil's Ranch Stockade. It included writing, poetry, drawings, projections, lavalamps, computers, lights, food, bloody marys, rum, the game Werewolf (which rapidly became Pirates and Ninjas), and most importantly, mysteries to solve, arranged by C and inspired in large part by The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe, and by the true story of Jim Carr, lumberjack-turned-saloon-keeper and Maggie Duncan, madame, both murderers in 19th C. Michigan.

Blue Skies Falling:
Gothic Funk #1 was a moderate success.
15 people attended... somewhat less than anticipated, but most of them stayed for around five hours.
In addition to deep gothic funk beats and deep gothic funk projections, we indulged in deep gothic funk impersonations and ultimately devolved into werewolves, et al.
Elisabeth posted pics at her blog, Chronicle of.
